Finishes!

I now have a finish! I really needed this.
I worked on Mario this week to get him done. I didn't much feel like working on anything complicated, and Mario only had the one color left.

I also finished my custom order of a Christmas necktie, and a necklace and earring set.

Finishes are few and far between for me, since I normally pick large projects and get bored with them part-way through. This one was small, and it was such a joy to stitch (despite the fact that there are so many colors in this things).

I loved seeing this come together, and the finished product is amazing. The only thing that I'm not thrilled with is the pink backstitching on the wing. I don't know how to change it to make it look better, either. I  may just have to leave it how it is.

Forgive the wrinkles. I haven't pressed it, yet.

I went out of town with my husband for the weekend. I took this project with me so I could finish it, but the lighting in the hotel was abysmal. Luckily, I also took Palace Garden with me, and found a spot of just one solid color that I could do without much light.

I was able to finish the bird yesterday, and get more done on the Palace Garden. I'll post progress on the Garden later, as I don't have a picture of it right now.

Another finish!

I didn't expect the Peeps to take long to finish, and they weren't! I finished them up last night!

I have pulled out my mousie to work on again, and I have kitted up 2 more projects for starts. I can't wait!

5 years!

Oh my goodness! I just realized that today my 5 year blogiversary. Woohoo!

I can't believe it has already been 5 years since I started this thing. I began this as a way to show off the crafty things I have made. This was my very first item I posted about:

I find it fitting that I now reach the 5 year mark with a finish! I have finally completed Candy Cane Christmas! I originally started this project along with a couple others as a Saturday SAL. I was doing OK, but then my stitchy mojo disappeared, and I moved over to making lots of chainmail jewelry and starting my own business in the process.
Now that the stitchy mojo is back, I have caught up and finally finished it! Woohoo!

I am wanting to work on my Mousie next, but I also have a couple new starts that I want to begin, as well. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions...

I have finished! Boy, it feels great to be able to say that! With the ginormous projects I tend to gravitate toward, I don't get too many finishes very often.

Finished! Baby Blanket

Woohoo! I finally finished the crochet project I was working on, so now I can move back over to cross stitch!
