Last peacock update for a couple weeks

I will not be in the office next week (taking most of the week off to use up vacation days), so I won't have any opportunity to work on the Peacock Tapestry.

Here is where I have left off, though:

I have completed 2 sides of the green!
I may post a picture later of what the back looks like. It almost appears like constellations, LOL.

On another note, I have a few more starts planned. So many things to make! My biggest problem is I have no fabric stash, so I will need to buy something for every single one. That's going to be a bit pricey. I may just suck it up and dig into my savings account and go hog wild buying things.
I haven't decided yet.

Friday update again!

I have picked up the Peacock Tapestry again! Yay! Not only that, but I have the border outline completed and I have been able to start another color!
Here is where I am so far:

I am going to be keeping this one at work to work on there, now that the pirate is done.

I have also picked up working on Qingming again. I couldn't resist! It feels so good to be stitching again after having done all the magnets. The change-up is exactly what I needed.
I am thoroughly enjoying stitching on Qingming right now. I just need to somehow come up with a stand or something for it. Having to hold that huge bolt of fabric on my lap while I work on it is getting annoying. Does anyone know of an inexpensive woodworker who can make custom pieces? I say custom because of not just the size of this thing, but the weight, as well. I think if I had something that would allow me to keep it rolled at the edges and scroll along with my progress, that would be best. I just have no idea where to start with something like that! I'll probably ask this same question several more times in the upcoming years as I work on this project.

Here is where I am on Qingming. Yes, I know that you really can't tell on the progress much for this one, since the design is printed on the fabric. Also, since the project is so large, even if I do 1000 stitches a day, it won't look like a lot. The progress is there, though, I promise! All the loose parked threads left out on this one were bothering me, so I went ahead and stitched those colors in first.

On another completely different note, I have figured out why I have been having sleeping issues lately. It turns out that this is one of the less common side effects of the medication I have been taking for my stomach problems. This knowledge won't help me sleep any better, but it does make me feel better knowing that I am not just going crazy! Once I am able to stop taking this medication, hopefully things will go back to normal.
I have made a change-up, though, to take the pill in the morning rather than in the evening. We'll see how well that does.

I forgot my Friday post!

Things around here are starting to get crazy. I will be leaving Monday for vacation, so I'm trying to get everything together for the trip. I am flying to Las Vegas, and will be gone a whole week!

I'm not sure how much, if any, stitching I will get done over the next week or so, but here is where I am on the peacock:

I have just the tiniest bit left in the corner to finish, and the border outline will be done. Then I can move on to another color! Yay! It will most likely be two weeks until my next update on the peacock, though. I do have a small project that I will be taking with me in case I find some time to stitch. I'll post information on it when I get back.

On another note, I have added labels to my posts! That way, if you are interested in the progress of just one of my projects, you can easily pull up and go through just those posts. Pretty nifty, if you ask me.

Can you believe it?

I haven't gotten ANY cross stitching done this week!
Well, aside from the little bit I got done at work. That's right! It's time for another boring Friday peacock update.

Here we are so far:

I got wrapped up in a few books that I was reading this week. I finished them today, so I should be back to stitching now!

Another boring Friday post

These Peacock updates are getting kinda boring, yes. Especially since I haven't gotten anything done except the border outline. But, for those who like to see progress, here we are so far:

From the looks of it, there will probably be a couple more boring updates before I start getting into more color.

Border outline almost done!

It's Friday again! Time for the Peacock Tapestry update.

I'm extremely close to getting the border outline done! Then I think I will work on filling in the border first. It all depends on what I feel like doing the most when the time comes.

I'm all the way to the bottom on one side!

It's Friday! Here is my peacock update for the week. I have gotten 2 of the lines all the way to the bottom, only 6 more!
Seriously, though, I like seeing the progress on this, especially since I only work on it 20-40 minutes a day.

Early peacock update

Due to the holiday weekend here in the US, I will not be working in the office tomorrow so I won't be working on the Peacock Tapestry.
Here is where I was last week:

And, here I am today:

I almost got to the half-way point on the side!

More border

I got some more border done on my peacock.

I kindof got a little sidetracked this week. I started winding my threads for the San Francisco project while at work, so my peacock tapestry was neglected a little.
But, hey! Look at all this thread!

I still have a little more left to go, but this pile did keep me busy.

Friday = Peacock Tapestry update

I have been working on this at work during my lunch if I get a chance, and for about 20-ish minutes after the end of my shift while I wait until my husband gets done with work. The progress on this will be slow because of this. Here is where I am so far:

In mid-August, I will be taking a week off to go to Las Vegas. I have decided this will be the project that goes with me (mainly because it is the most portable, too).

Peacock Tapestry

This week has been so busy, that I haven't had a chance to work on my Qingming project at all. I'm hoping for a relaxing weekend, though, so hopefully I can get some more work in on it.

On another note, I am having to actually work in the office rather than at home, so I have begun a new work project. I plan on leaving this project in my desk at work and only working on it during lunch or after work while I'm waiting on my husband to finish up.
Here is what it will look like:

OK, now when I say started, what mean is... all I actually have done so far is open the package. I have honestly had this kit for about 12 years or so, I just never got around to working on it. Now is the time!
