I don't know what it is, but I don't think of posting my progress on projects here. I'm motivated to complete the project and post the finished item here, but that just leaves large gaps in my postings, which also bothers me.
I like keeping track of others' progress, so I'm going to
try to post at least once a week on what I have been working on lately.
My current project is a gift! I've been hesitant to post anything about it on my blog in the chance that the recipient will find out about it, but if she does then Oh, Well!
I actually started this before I made the Star Trek towels to donate for a charity auction. I had to put it aside until those towels were done, and now I'm back to it!
Some friends are having a baby, and I had recently come across a new crochet technique that was giving me some ideas for a blanket, so it was perfect timing! After confirming the color scheme for the nursery, I began!
First came the basic foundation mesh for the main body of the blanket. It took a little while to complete, but somewhere in my head I had myself convinced that the colors would go much more quickly. Unfortunately, the colors are taking much longer than expected, so I think at this point, I'll be lucky to have this completed by her due date in mid-June!
Here is my progress and a look of what it will be like.
I have actually added a few more rows with colors since this picture was taken. Hopefully by next weekend's post I'll have a lot more added!
