New update

I finally finished my rotation period on the Midnight Enchanter. With my week and a half long vacation, he has gotten neglected. I'm glad I got to finish his block of time before really getting into studying for my next certification exam.

Here is where I ended up (you can see the book taking shape):

My plan for this lovely 3 day weekend is to study most of the time. If I need to clear my head from time to time, I'll probably pick up something to stitch for an hour, then back to the books. If all goes well, I will take my exam by the end of October. If all goes really well, I will take the exam by the end of September.
I will still keep trying to post from time to time, though. And, of course, I will keep up with all the blogs I follow, as well.

I have figured it out!

After looking through the pirate flag charms available, scouring a couple local craft stores, and looking for alternatives, I have finally made a decision about the pirate flag charm on my Pirate's creed project.
The final choice was.... nothing! I saw a picture online where someone else made this project, and just took out the charm part of it. It was great! That way, I don't have to worry about the charm at all. All I have to do is move over the word "improves" a little to center it so I don't end up with a big blank spot.

For my other stitching this week, I have worked on the Midnight Enchanter a little over the weekend, but I don't have any pictures of it yet. I'll post them soon.

On another note, I may be stitching less over the next few weeks. I am wanting to start studying for another certification exam for the day job (if you remember I did get my Network+ certification recently), which will take away from some of my stitchy time.

This feels weird. This is my first post in a long time that doesn't have a picture. Come to think of it, this may be my first post ever without a picture. I'm too lazy to go through everything to find out, though.

I'm back! Did you miss me?

Let me start of by saying I had an absolute fabulous time in Las Vegas! It was so amazing, that I have already decided to go again next year.

I didn't get much stitching done while I was there, the little bit that I did get done was done on the airplane. I started a new project for this, since it was so small and very easily portable. It is the Pirate's Creed by Sue Hillis. As soon as I saw it, I just had to make it.

Here is the little bit that I have gotten done so far:

You can pretty much figure out what it says from this little bit. This is going pretty quickly, so I should have this done in no time at all!
Now, I didn't get this as a kit, I just got the chart, so I am going to need to find a pirate flag charm separately to add to this when I have it completed. Any suggestions?

I forgot my Friday post!

Things around here are starting to get crazy. I will be leaving Monday for vacation, so I'm trying to get everything together for the trip. I am flying to Las Vegas, and will be gone a whole week!

I'm not sure how much, if any, stitching I will get done over the next week or so, but here is where I am on the peacock:

I have just the tiniest bit left in the corner to finish, and the border outline will be done. Then I can move on to another color! Yay! It will most likely be two weeks until my next update on the peacock, though. I do have a small project that I will be taking with me in case I find some time to stitch. I'll post information on it when I get back.

On another note, I have added labels to my posts! That way, if you are interested in the progress of just one of my projects, you can easily pull up and go through just those posts. Pretty nifty, if you ask me.

Can you believe it?

I haven't gotten ANY cross stitching done this week!
Well, aside from the little bit I got done at work. That's right! It's time for another boring Friday peacock update.

Here we are so far:

I got wrapped up in a few books that I was reading this week. I finished them today, so I should be back to stitching now!
